THE BIG NEWS ON the diary front is that my latest novel, ‘A Type of Beauty, the story of Kathleen Newton (1854-1882)’ is being launched at Listowel Writers Week 2010 which runs from Wednesday 2 June to Sunday 6 June. further information: www.writersweek.ie

UCD - Adult Education Writing Workshops:

(1) The Nuts & Bolts of Writing - facilitates writers to find and use their writing voice to realize their writing dream. Carysfort Campus, Wednesday mornings from 10 o’clock to 12 o’clock. 10 weeks from September to December 2009. Further information: www.ucd.ie/adulted.

(2) The Plot Thickens - plots are the life blood of fiction and this course focuses on best plotting practice. Carysfort Campus, Wednesday mornings from 10 o’clocl to 12 o’clock, 8 weeks from January to March 2010. Further information: www.ucd.ie/adulted.

(3) The Business of Writing - this is information-led and de-mystifies the business end of writing - Belfield Campus. Saturday 27 February 2010 from 10 o’clock to 1 o’clock. Further information: www.ucd.ie/adulted.

Note: Above three courses provide a realistic foundation for writers wishing to write for and to understand the current writing market, and to be published.
